Spooky Spider Project

Spooky Spider Pendant

This beaded beauty is a great project for any level of beader.  Even a great one for kids.

Supplies:

1 8mm Swarvoski round  (jet used in sample)

1 10mm Swarvoski round  (jet used in sample)

32 3mm Swarvoski bicones  (Amestyst AB used in sample)

1 tube of bugle seed beads (matte Purple Iris uned in sample)

1 2inch headpin 22 gauge

3 feet 24 or 22 gauge wire (plated or silver)

1 yard of cording (silk, satin, or leather)

1.  Keep the wire whole, at one end either make a loop or wire wrap a loop.  Silde onto the wire 2 bugle beads, 1 4mm bicone, 2 bugle beads, 1 4mm bicone, 2 bugle beads, 1 4mm bicone, 2 bugle beads,  1 4mm bicone, and just one bugle.

2.  Then use your round nose pliers to make a simple loop, no need to wire wrap.  This makes the middle of the spider body

3.  Follow the bead pattern backwards starting with the single bugle bead and ending with the 2 bugles

. Spider leg diagram. make 4 of these; each one is 2 legs.

4.  Wire wrap or one loop roll over at the end of your bead section.  You now have 2 legs.

5. Repeat this to make all 4 leg sections.  Each section is 2 legs.

6.  Slide the 10mm round onto the head pin followed by the leg sections.  String the center loop on each leg section onto the headpin.  Then add the 8mm round.  Situate the legs so that they "interlock" with each other.

7.   Wire wrap the top of the head pin, getting the wrap nice and tight so that the legs can't spin around.

8.  Bend the legs to get them into an position that you like.

9.   Put spider pendant onto your cording and Enjoy!
