Swarovski Crystal Woven Bracelet
|
This is a beaded take on the traditional tennis bracelet. Four interwoven strands of
gorgeous sparkling colors. What more could a crystal crazy beader want? 100+
bicones all on one bracelet. If you like sparkle, then this is a definite must take class.
The technique is quick to learn; and the pattern possibilities are nearly endless.
Supplies needed:
approx. 100-130 4mm bicones (at lest 2 colors)
1 tube of seedbeads size 11/0
Multiple stranded clasp (2 or 4 holed)
4-6 crimps 2x2mm
2 yard Soft Touch .010
If you prefer a wider bracelet, you can use 6mm bicones and size 8/0 seedbeads.
Terminology History: Apparently in 1987 Chris Evert, the former #1 World's
Women tennis player and the winner of 18 Grand Slam singles titles, was playing in
the U.S. Open. She was wearing an elegant, light diamond bracelet, which accidentally
broke and the match was halted to allow Ms. Evert to recover her precious diamonds.
The 'tennis bracelet' incident sparked a new name for the item and sparked a huge
jewelry trend.
